Open Source Developer with Java Experience Full-time

Open Tech Strategies (OTS) is seeking an open source developer experienced in Java for full-time work.

The project involves extending and improving an open source code base written in Java. It requires someone comfortable writing web applications in Java, including working with test frameworks and managing dependencies. There will be other work beyond this primary project, so we're looking for someone who's willing to learn new skills and programming languages on the fly; we train as needed, and believe that learning on the job is normal.

OTS is based in Chicago, New York, and Minneapolis. Preference will be given to candidates in those cities, but we are open to remote applicants too. We negotiate rates based on experience and skills.
