About the Role

You will help build Sourcegraph, a multi-tier application (web, CLI, API, data stores) written primarily in React/JavaScript (frontend) and Go (backend). You will have the freedom to creatively solve various CS challenges while building products that are fundamental to the growth/success of the business. As a senior member of the team, you will help set the technical direction of various projects as well as lead/mentor other team members.

Job Responsibilities

• Build multi-tier applications (web, CLI, API, data stores) written primarily in React/JavaScript (frontend) and Go (backend).
• Combine usage metrics, user feedback, and intuition to plan product designs and improvements
• Creating simple and performant APIs based on multiple underlying data sources

Required Skills

• 1-3 years of industry experiences, with a track record of meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality products
• CS Fundamentals
• Experience leading projects/people, helping mentor more junior team members
• Thorough understanding of compilers
• UI Design experience
• Experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, CSS, React, Go
• Experience working on medium-large code bases
• B.S. in Computer Science or related field
