Systems Administrator Full-time

We’re looking for a systems administrator to participate in the building and day to day management of the Let’s Encrypt environment. This includes essentially all aspects of systems administration in a modern production environment. You should have experience with security and stability monitoring, virtualization, firewalls, configuration management, database wrangling, rapid provisioning and systemd-fu. Basically, we need a sysadmin who can do anything and wants to encrypt all the things with us.

Collaborating effectively with ISRG developers and the community is critical. You’ll be working with both fellow employees and our open-source community. ISRG staff live in various places in the U.S., and we do the vast majority of our collaboration online.

Key qualifications:

* Experience in regulated and high-security environments * Experience working with highly-available, internet-facing sites * Solid understanding of PKI * Configuration management experience (SaltStack, Ansible, Puppet, Chef) * Rapid deployment virtualization experience * Hardware SAN experience * Scripting and coding experience * Networking management experience with major vendors (firewalls and switches) * Ability to set up highly effective monitoring, security, and logging systems * Ability to manage and troubleshoot databases * Ability to use and manage security tools such as FIM, IDM, vuln scanner * Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with development team * Hardware Security Module (HSM) experience is a plus
