PyCon US Community Events Coordinator Full-time

The mission of the Python Software Foundation is to promote, protect, and advance the Python programming language, and to support and facilitate the growth of a diverse and international community of Python programmers. We also run the PyCon US conference annually, support other Python conferences/workshops around the world, and fund Python-related development with our grants program.

We are seeking a full-time employee who will focus on supporting our annual flagship event and the year-round community of volunteers, vendors, and other stakeholders that make up the Python community. The ability and willingness to travel annually to PyCon US is required for this position (the upcoming PyCon US 2025 will take place May 14-22, 2025 in Pittsburgh, PA); additionally, the applicant will be willing to travel approximately once per quarter for site visits and/or educational conferences/events.

The position is a salaried, full-time employee at 40 hours per week and is open to USA remote applicants only. Compensation and benefits include salary, 401(k), health/dental/vision insurance, and paid holidays/time off. The salary range is $65,000 to $80,000 USD based on qualifications and experience.

This position will report to the Program Director. Recurring availability with US Central/Eastern time zones will be necessary for check-ins and collaboration.
