We’re looking for a talented and motivated web developer with Android development expertise to join our team. This position calls for a mix of skills, with the person in the role responsible for both front-end and back-end development of web apps, as well as developing and maintaining Android apps. The ideal candidate should have a solid grasp of web technologies and hands-on experience with Android SDK and mobile development frameworks.
What you will be doing
Web Development
Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable web apps.
Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code using the best software development practices.
Work with other teams to come up with new features, design them, and then put them into practice.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
Integrate data from various back-end services and databases into web applications.
Develop responsive designs for a seamless user experience across devices.
Android Development
You’ll be developing and maintaining Android apps in Java/Kotlin using the Android SDK.
Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of Android applications.
Work with the design team to add new features and make improvements to the user interface and user experience of our mobile apps.
Debug and fix any technical issues, make the app run as smoothly as possible, and make sure it works on all kinds of Android devices.
Collaboration
Work closely with the product, design, and back-end teams to build and maintain projects.
Keep up with the latest trends and tech to make development more efficient.
Join team meetings to talk about project updates, timelines, and deliverables.
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience as a Web Developer and Android Developer.
Skills
Web Development:
Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (including frameworks like react, nodejs/npm).
Experience with server-side languages such as PHP, Python, Shell/Bash, Node.js, or Ruby.
Knowledge of database management (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Experience with RESTful API integration.
Android Development:
Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
Strong knowledge of Android SDK and Android development tools.
Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating mobile applications with backend services.
Proven Android development experience
Debug and optimize Android applications
Develop and maintain automated build and deployment processes
Understanding of Android UI/UX design principles, patterns & best practices.
Preferred skills:
Code management through Github
Agile project methodologies
A passion for clean code.
