The Sovereign Tech Fund is looking for an experienced program manager (all genders) to establish and further develop the Bug Resilience Program.
The Sovereign Tech Fund’s mission is to strengthen digital infrastructure in the public interest. Our goal is to promote security, innovation and competitiveness and to create a stable digital foundation for participation and democracy. To this end, we invest in the open source ecosystem with a focus on resilience and technological diversity and the aim of achieving digital sovereignty and sustainable digital services in the public interest.
As a “start-up” in the Federal Agency for Disruptive Innovation, we started the Sovereign Tech Fund in September 2022. This year, we will become an independent entity, and as such, we are looking for talented individuals to join our team and help establish the new organization.
We are looking for an experienced program manager to establish and further develop the STF Bug Resilience Program . The Bug Resilience Program was developed by STF in 2023 to improve the resilience of open source software infrastructure projects. The program supports participating projects in reducing their technical debt, funds security audits, and offers participation in a bug- and fix-bounty.
The Bug Resilience Program Manager coordinates and manages the day-to-day operations and further develops the program concept. The responsibilities also include reviewing applications for program participation, managing relationships with implementation partners, onboarding and managing bug bounty programs on the STF platform, as well as monitoring vulnerability and bug-fix reports and bounty payments.
For us, your motivation is as important as your resume. We explicitly welcome applications that do not meet all requirements. We would also be happy to learn more about additional skills and attributes in your cover letter that are not listed here but are relevant to the position.
We are a diverse team and welcome applications from BPoC (Black and People of Color), individuals with disabilities, people with migration backgrounds, and individuals from other groups underrepresented in technology development.
If you belong to these groups, please feel free to mention it in your application. However, we request that you refrain from including a photo of yourself or any information about your place of residence, age, gender, marital status, or similar details in your documents.
Please send us your application with a cover letter, resume, and earliest possible start date by email to jobs@sovereigntechfund.de.
We will confirm receipt of your documents in writing by email and then inform you of our decision. We will conduct two rounds of job interviews, which will take place either in Berlin or remotely. The job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at jobs@sovereigntechfund.de.
