IT Systems Support and Development Officer Full-time

Worldwide - remote work (office is in Amsterdam 36 Hours a week)

Two years ago we decided to move from a Windows-environment to a Linux-based IT infrastructure, with in-house servers and Open Source applications whenever possible, and firmware solutions if necessary. We build and develop our own web platforms to support our funding processes.

We are now looking for an IT Systems Support and Development Officer who is a skilled project manager and can support Mama Cash with further development and maintenance of our IT systems.

Your key responsibilities will be, among others:
Maintenance of our 35 in-house Linux and Windows servers;
Ensure, in close collaboration with your IT colleague and colleagues from other teams, that the organisation’s IT needs and wishes are adequately prioritised and delivered in time;
Maintenance and development of our web and desktop applications: we create and develop smaller tools and file conversion programmes as well as bigger projects such as funding web platforms;
Maintenance of our SQL database administration, and create reports and sql scripts when it is needed or requested;
Maintenance of our Salesforce database administration;
Maintenance and support of all our users Linux workstations;
Manage our IT helpdesk and support and train users (of various tech-savviness) in the use of our web and desktop applications and any other IT-related issues.

You work in close collaboration with our software and database developer and with our office manager. You will be part of the People & Purpose team and report to the director of People & Purpose.

Functional Knowledge and Experience:
Extensive knowledge of Unix environments and Linux distributions;
Strong in project management;
Good knowledge of any variation of SQL (MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle …) and relational database systems;
Knowledge of and working experience with PHP and at least one of the following languages C++, JAVA, C#, APEX;
Strong communications skills;
Knowledge of network protocols, understanding of network design and architecture. Being capable to program different switches (Cisco, HP);
Being able to do small repairs on computers and laptops (changing SSD drives, re-installation of the system, adding or removing RAM, changing and cleaning coolers).

The monthly salary for this position depends upon experience and is based on CAO Welzijn, scale 10, (min.) 3.221 to 4.830 Euro per month, 8% vacation allowance, and 13th month.
