Description
With Rapid.Space, Nexedi is trying to create a European cloud and 4G/5G edge infrastructure provider. We produce and distribute a base station that can be deployed on free frequency bands throughout France and would like to make it as “plug-and-play” as possible. We are looking for developers interested in the following topics:
- AI-based “radio planning” limit interferences and optimise throughput) with multiple stations deployed
- Automation of service deployment on each station and distributed IP traffic management service (core network) to prevent single point of failure
- extend the distance routing protocol babel to account for nodes and links that do not transmit/forward packets and integrate a simple roaming daemon to ensure nodes keep IP-adresses as they move between Wifi access points
Responsibilites
- help build an open-source and open-hardware architecture for telecommunications
- improve our free software stack to be able to manage telco networks
- automate all aspects of network deployment, configuration and management
