Description
We are participating in several R&D projects with dual-use quadcopter and fixed-wing drone swarms on a fully open-source and open-hardware stack. Drones are running our orchestration software (SlapOS)  to run real-time services for piloting, communication and data acquisition. We are looking for developers interested in the following topics:

• capturing and analyzing telemetry and sensor data for collision prevention
• improving our orchestration software to deploy and monitor real-time software services in real-time
• adapting our 3D simulator to real-world conditions
• developing our setup to optimise adaptive algorithms using artificial life

We are looking for a candidate with experience in drone development, affinity to Open Source / Free Software and sufficient English to correspond with partners across Europe.

Responsibilites

• help build an open-source architecture for Drone swarms
• improve our free software stack to support real-time and OPC/UA
• assist in building a piggy-back platform for drones for integration and control of various sensors

Opportunities

• Work in fullstack development and devops (Python, buildout, devops)
• Work in frontend development (BabylonJS + vanilla JS, preferably 3D, game development) 
• Contribute to complex open source and free software solutions
